About Barb Black
I have worked in the field of mental health for over twenty years and have always enjoyed helping people find pathways to healthy lives and relationships. I have been licensed as an LPC since 2014. I have been trained in EMDR to treat trauma and use other models including Cognitive Behavioral and Solution-Focused Therapy for depression and anxiety.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative experience between client and therapist and that my job is to help you build solutions. I also believe that everyone has the strengths, resilience and resources to create and live a meaningful life!
One of my passions is working with the LGBT community, including youth and those exploring gender identity, to cope with coming out, transitioning or relationship issues. I also feel strongly about helping to alleviate pain and suffering related to trauma, depression, and anxiety. I would like to help you with personal growth in many areas of your life!
